Meeting of the General Assembly of the Union of Arab Technologists and Engineers in Austria
At 6:00 pm on Saturday, April 28, 2023, the General Assembly of the Union of Arab Technologists and Engineers in Austria held its annual general meeting at the headquarters of the Smart Academy Foundation in the third district in the city of Vienna.
The quorum for the meeting was completed in the presence of 14 members out of the 18 regular members of the Federation’s General Assembly.
In addition to the presence of 13 new members
Their applications for membership in the union were initially approved.
The President of the Union, Dr. Youssef Maslamani, opened the session by welcoming all attendees, and emphasized the necessity of examining the main constants and directions that the Union adopted upon its founding, focusing on technical, engineering, and scientific topics, in addition to pluralism and building strong relations with Austrian society and all Arab communities in Austria.
After that, the scheduled schedule for this meeting was discussed:
1- The administrative report, which includes the events and activities completed during the previous period, and the financial report of the Federation.
2- Initial approval of the membership applications submitted to the Union so that they are entitled to enter the electoral process for the new administrative body.
3- Giving all attendees the opportunity to introduce themselves and their scientific and professional specializations, after which the door was opened for interventions and questions from the attendees.
4- Any new matters:
A) It was proposed to accept university and technical institute students as regular members of the Union.
b) The possibility of new members participating in nominating and electing the new administrative body.
C) Extending the mandate of the Federation’s administrative body for two years instead of one year.
5- Elections for the new administrative body: The President of the Federation announced the dissolution of the previous administrative body of the Federation and opened the door for candidacy for the elections for the new administrative body. An electoral committee was formed to carry out this task, and after completing the election procedures (which were documented), the Chairman of the Election Committee announced the victory of 7 members out of 10. Candidates to form the new administrative body of the federation include:

More than half of the members of the General Assembly of Members of the Union participated in this meeting, and a quorum was reached to elect the new administrative body.
The meeting began at exactly seven o’clock in the evening on Saturday 3/6/2021, in the presence of 6 members of the Board of Directors, namely:

(Due to the Corona pandemic, the subscription fees paid last year have been approved for this year as well)
The President of the Federation opened the session by welcoming the female and male colleagues attending and gave a comprehensive overview of the work accomplished by the Association for the previous year (annual report).
The financial report for the previous year was read.
After that, nominations were opened for those who wished to nominate themselves or recommend others to form a new administrative body for the federation, and after that, five members were elected to the new administrative body.
Immediately after that, colleagues in the new administrative body met to distribute tasks among themselves, and the tasks were as follows:
1- Dr. Youssef Maslamani (President of the Federation).
2- M. Imad Constantine (Secretary).
15:00. Nisreen Alameddine (Financial Officer).
4- M. Muhammad Al-Salqini (media officer).
5- M. M. Dima Eido (development and follow-up).
