A scientific visit to the Austrian Parliament on Wednesday, the eighth of November 2023, which was organized by the Union of Arab Technologists and Engineers in Austria in coordination with engineer Tarfa Bagjati, and at the kind invitation of the parliamentary representative of the Liberal Party, and the Austrian journalist, Dr. Helmut Brandstätter. During the visit, an introductory tour of the Parliament halls took place and an introduction to the engineering and technical aspects of the construction and renovation process, which took about five years.
At the end of the visit, the President of the Federation, Dr. Youssef Maslamani, thanked the ladies and gentlemen of the audience and members of the Board of Directors for their contribution to the success of this event, and he honored Messrs. Brandstätter and Baggati by granting them certificates of thanks and appreciation of the Union for their efforts in achieving this event in a festive atmosphere inside the main parliament hall and in front of all the participants.
Within the framework of the social activities of the Union of Arab Technologists and Engineers in Austria, which aim to strengthen relations between members and the local community, and provide support and representation to Arab engineers and technicians in Austria through purposeful activities and programs.
The Union concluded the last days of the holy month of Ramadan, inviting members of the Union, some heads of Arab organizations, federations, clubs and associations, activists and those interested in public, community and private affairs from all scientific, professional, artistic, cultural and social specializations in Vienna, to a group breakfast on Thursday, Ramadan 29, 1444, corresponding to April 20, 2023 in Yasmine Al-Sham Restaurant in Vienna.
The ceremony was opened by the President of the Federation, Dr. Youssef Maslamani, with a speech in which he thanked the attendees for responding to the invitation and praised the role played by these organizations at the local level.
Dr. spoke. Maslamani spoke about the Union’s role in supporting and guiding engineers or workers within this sector, whether newcomers or students, and presented the Union’s plan of action in the coming period. He praised the existing cooperation between the Union and other bodies and its impact on communities coming from the Arab region, and the positive impact it achieves within this European community. Especially at the level of the Republic of Austria, which has provided and continues to provide everything that would support newcomers at all levels and in all specialties.
The heads of unions, forums, and associations expressed in their speeches their support for the role played by the Union of Technicians and Engineers. They also praised the role played by the individual associations. The speakers thanked the Union’s administration for this generous invitation and wished it further brilliance and success.
Within the framework of cooperation and strengthening the partnership between institutions and non-governmental organizations, on 02/09/2020, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Union of Arab Technologists and Engineers in Austria (Vati) with the SMART Academy Foundation, according to which expertise will be exchanged to enhance the scientific and service partnership and provide support to members Both parties.

Each party offers a discount on the courses it organizes for members of the other party equal to the discount it offers to its members
The two parties agree to provide specialized courses in the technical and engineering fields to enhance the professional integration of members of both parties
- Both parties invite members of the other party to attend professional visits organized by the first party to companies
The memorandum was signed by Dr. Youssef Maslamani, President of the Union, and Professor Alaa al-Din Naqshbandi, Director of the Academy, in the presence of members of the administrative body of both parties. Wishing everyone success.
The Austrian Arab House, in cooperation with the Union of Arab Technologists and Engineers and the General Union of Egyptians in Austria, organized an event entitled:
''Owning a private business in Vienna and carrying big worries... You are not alone''
It was presented by Mr. Firas Saad El-Din, Chairman of the Arab Business Owners Group and member of the Board of Directors of the Economic and Social Democratic League in Vienna.
